Early Voting Begins October 19 for November 3 Election in Dallas County

Voters Can Use Any Dallas County Vote Center

and Are Encouraged to Check Their Registration Status Before Voting

DALLAS, TX – Early Voting for the November 3 General and Joint Election begins Monday, October 19, and the Dallas County Elections Department is encouraging voters to prepare before heading to the polls by checking their voter registration status and reviewing Vote Center information at DallasCountyVotes.org.

For the November 3 election, Dallas County voters can vote at any Dallas County Vote Center during Early Voting and on Election Day. This is a change from the March Primary, when voters were required to vote at their assigned precinct on Election Day.

Early Voting runs from Monday, October 19 through Friday, October 30.

Voters are also encouraged to check their voter registration status before voting and make sure their residence information is current. Voters should pay particular attention if their status is listed as “Suspense.” A voter who still lives in Dallas County and has a Suspense status is still registered and is eligible to vote.

They must complete a Statement of Residence at a Vote Center to confirm or update their address and vote if otherwise eligible.

“Early Voting gives Dallas County voters the flexibility to choose the Vote Center that works best for them,” said Paul Adams, Election Administrator for the Dallas County Elections Department. “Before heading out to vote, we encourage voters to check their registration status and visit DallasCountyVotes.org for Vote Center locations and hours.”
